About Me

Meet Jane Evans

During college, I lived in a small, old house. My roommates and I loved it's cozy charm and, for the most part, didn't have any problems. However, one day, we noticed that the carpet in one of the bedrooms was wet--and it couldn't be dried. When we called our landlady and the repairman, they discovered that the shower not only needed to be re-caulked, but there was mold everywhere under the carpet. We had to move out for two weeks while they fixed the problem. Soon, thanks to the contractor (the likes of whom you can read about), we were back at home.

How To Find Affordable Landscape Rocks For Your Property

If you would like to decorate around the exterior of your home with some large landscape rocks, you might find yourself starting to worry about the cost of it all. To help you offset the costs, you will want to take a few moments to review the following tips.

Contact A Local Excavation Company

Many excavation companies find that they have to haul away large rocks that they unearth for various customers when they are doing some digging on their properties. The property owners do not want the rocks and they need to be removed from the property. They then have to take the rocks back to their facility if they do not already have someone that is interested in purchasing the large rocks from them. You might be able to get a good deal on landscape rocks by purchasing them directly from the excavation company by simply giving them a call to let them know what you are looking for. If they do not have it at the moment, they may be able to take your contact information down and call you when they do.

Look For Online Advertisements

Some homeowners will change their mind about the layout or design of their home landscape and they will want some of their larger landscape rocks removed by selling them. They might charge just a little bit, especially if they know that you will have to haul the rock out of there on your own. However, in some cases, you might actually be able to find someone that is willing to give their large landscape rocks away for free as long as you are removing them without their assistance.

Post Your Own Wanted Signs

If you do not have a timeline for when you need to have these large landscape rocks, you can always post online or even create some signs to put up around your town. Let people know that you are looking for large rocks that you can use in your landscape design. The reason this works is because there is a good chance that someone who is about to do some excavating will see your sign or online post and they will know that they can take their rocks directly to you instead of needing to find somewhere else for them.

With just those three suggestions in mind, you should have no trouble making sure that you are able to find all of the large landscape rocks that you want for your property. Contact a company like Southwest Brick & Fireplace for more information.
