About Me

Meet Jane Evans

During college, I lived in a small, old house. My roommates and I loved it's cozy charm and, for the most part, didn't have any problems. However, one day, we noticed that the carpet in one of the bedrooms was wet--and it couldn't be dried. When we called our landlady and the repairman, they discovered that the shower not only needed to be re-caulked, but there was mold everywhere under the carpet. We had to move out for two weeks while they fixed the problem. Soon, thanks to the contractor (the likes of whom you can read about), we were back at home.

Hire An Electrician To Make Various Lighting Additions To Your Property

When you looked at your house while it was on the market, you may have been impressed with the lighting from the photos and during the tour. But since moving into the home, you may not feel like the lighting is ideal for what your family wants and needs. This may even extend to the outdoors where you would love to improve the lighting throughout the front yard and backyard.

If you want to make changes to the inside and outside, you should look no further than hiring an electrician, as they can work on brand-new installations and replacements.

Recessed Lights

Illuminating your home's interior is something that you can accomplish in several ways such as ceiling fans with several light fixtures, chandeliers, and recessed lights. If your house does not have any recessed lights but you are interested in making this addition to several rooms, you should work with an electrician to determine where to put them and how many fixtures to install.

Recessed lighting is an excellent option when you do not want to put any glare on your televisions, smartphones, laptops, or desktop monitors while using them in the house.

Porch Lights

While you may have porch lights that you turn on every evening, you may not like where they are installed or their style. Since replacing the light bulbs will not change the appearance, you will want to remove each fixture and then replace them with fixtures that fit in the same space.

An electrician can show you a wide variety of porch light fixtures to help you choose one that satisfies your wants and needs. At the same time, you can let a professional know about any lighting issues because they can pick up light bulbs that will give you more than enough lighting.

Lamp Posts

If you like the idea of having ample light throughout the entire landscape, you may think about all the ways that you can bring lighting into the space. For instance, you can put up string lights on the porch and patio to illuminate a considerable portion of the landscape. An effective way to get lighting on all the pathways and throughout the entire yard is by installing lamp posts.

Since lamp posts are a major addition to your property, you should rely on an electrician's expertise to know how many posts you need as well as the ideal places to install them.

Hiring an electrical company such as Beckstoffer-Welsh Inc will help you improve the lighting inside and outside your home.
