About Me

Meet Jane Evans

During college, I lived in a small, old house. My roommates and I loved it's cozy charm and, for the most part, didn't have any problems. However, one day, we noticed that the carpet in one of the bedrooms was wet--and it couldn't be dried. When we called our landlady and the repairman, they discovered that the shower not only needed to be re-caulked, but there was mold everywhere under the carpet. We had to move out for two weeks while they fixed the problem. Soon, thanks to the contractor (the likes of whom you can read about), we were back at home.

Why A Shower Niche Can Be A Great Addition To Your Shower

You might have already made some changes to your shower, such as putting up a new shower curtain, putting down a non-slip mat in the shower, or putting up a shower caddy. However, you can take things a lot farther by installing a shower niche, which is a recessed section of the shower that is designed for storage. Of course, this isn't a simple improvement for just anyone to make, but a professional should be able to install a shower niche in your shower with ease. This can be a good way to improve and change your shower for these reasons and more.

It Gives You More Storage Space

If you are lacking storage space in your shower, it might be time to add a shower niche. Of course, you probably want to keep your soap, body wash, shampoo, razors, and other showering essentials close at hand, but this can be hard to do in many showers. Once you install a shower niche, however, you can make sure that you have all of the space that you need in order to store all of your hygiene items. Then, you don't have to worry about storing your necessities in an inconvenient place, and you can always make sure that they are close by when you need them.

It Doesn't Take Away Valuable Shower Space

There are various ways that you can add additional storage space to your shower, such as by installing shower caddies of various types. However, many of these storage options take up valuable storage space, which can be a big problem if you have a small shower or if you simply like to have as much shower space as possible. Since a shower niche is recessed into the wall, you don't have to give up any shower space at all, making it a better choice than many shower storage options.

It Can Look Really Nice

Even if you didn't really think that there was anything that you could do to make your shower nicer, there is actually one great thing that you can do to improve your shower: installing a shower niche. You can choose the size, placement, and design of your shower niche, so you can give your shower the look that you want. This can be an interesting way to make your shower look better than ever.

If you would like to improve your shower, consider installing one or more shower niches. Once you do, you might find yourself wishing you had improved your shower in this way a long time ago.
